Another busy year is quickly drawing to a close and I’ll be celebrating LynchPin’s 3rd anniversary very soon. A huge thank you to the clients that have supported me in 2018 and a particular thanks goes to those clients that have been with me since the beginning.

I hope you all take some downtime over the Christmas period to rest, recharge and make time for the people that you love.

I'm looking forward to a busy Autumn and if you're pondering 'harvesting' your impact data and need a hand please do get in touch. I'm proud to have been asked to host a discussion at the annual Social Value International conference happening in November. I'll be taking the opportunity to promote West Cumbria of course 🙂

Recent piece of work for Soundwave

1/12/2016

Lynchpin News - November 2016

18/11/2016

"Really pleased to have started working with Nicola, she instantly understood the needs of our organisation and recognises the role we play in our community, she speaks our language. With Nicola's help, we are already considering new partnerships and funding opportunities that we didn't even realise were an option."
David Roberts Soundwave

It's been a busy autumn for LynchPin Support (which is great news!) As well as running Social Value 101 back in September with a selection of fantastic local and national speakers I've also been working with the following fab clients
  • Cadas
  • Calderwood House
  • Cumbria Cricket Ltd.
  • Cumbria Youth Alliance
  • Ewanrigg Local Trust
  • Forth Engineering
  • Lakes College West Cumbria
  • Rosehill Theatre (Cardboard Citizens Residency)
  • Soundwave
  • Stay West
  • Works 4 You/Home to Work

I also continue with my voluntary commitments as a Trustee of Cumbria Law Centre and as a Director at Mountain View Childcare.
All this work on different projects for very different organisations is helping grow my knowledge and skills base rapidly so please do contact me if you're looking into 2017 (sorry) and thinking about
  • Impact evaluations
  • Social Return on Investment
  • Evidence, Measurement and Monitoring
  • Grant applications
  • Setting up a charity or social enterprise
  • Business planning for charities & CICs
  • Supporting Trustees and/or Directors
  • Managing partnerships
  • Support around Governance issues
  • (...and general trouble-shooting :-)
  • I've also been doing some work supporting organisations prepare for their AGM which has been really informative.
I am happy to work on different payment schedules to suit your organisation - some organisations are finding it easier to pay monthly over 6 months or a year for ongoing work rather than finding total costs up front. I look forward to hearing from you. Nicola

PS now house-training is nearly complete I look forward to bringing along my new business partner to meet some of you in the New Year!

"Nicola was called upon to support us with the development of service plans and bid writing. We gained a new ‘reliable pair of hands’. Nicola stepped in at short notice and delivered what she said she would, on time. A real asset to charities in Cumbria."
Heike Horsburgh Cadas

Socioeconomic opportunities

11/2/2016

From Sellafield's website :

Paul Foster, Managing Director of Sellafield Ltd, said: “Our first priority will always be the safe, secure and cost-effective clean-up of Sellafield.

“But alongside that is a commitment to help deliver a long-term, sustainable economic future for our local community.

“DDP will help achieve this by placing socioeconomic outcomes at the heart of the contract from the outset and by holding contractors to account on delivery.
